Eighty architecture students from the National School of Architecture of Brittany completed an intensive five-day university project focusing on historic buildings in Douarnenez this week. The students presented their work on Friday, October 10, at the town's festival hall, receiving considerable praise for their comprehensive research and analysis.

The project brought together students who conducted detailed studies of the city's historic architecture, with particular attention to buildings near the port areas. One team consisting of students Gaitan, Nicolas, Victor, Loïck, and Léa focused their research on a historic house located on rue du Grand-Port, near the Rosmeur port in Douarnenez.

The week-long intensive project allowed students to apply their theoretical knowledge to real-world architectural preservation challenges. Working directly with Douarnenez's historic building stock, the students gained hands-on experience in analyzing and documenting traditional Breton architecture.

Local officials and community members who attended the presentation expressed strong approval of the students' work, highlighting the quality and thoroughness of their research. The positive reception demonstrates the value of such collaborative projects between academic institutions and local communities in preserving architectural heritage.
