The contest aims to promote Korean traditional culture while encouraging more people to experience wearing hanbok, the elegant traditional Korean garment.
To participate in the contest, individuals must first visit the Korean Cultural Center in Hong Kong to rent hanbok costumes, which are available for free rental for two hours every Friday and Saturday. Participants then need to follow the official Instagram account @kcchongkong and upload photos or videos of themselves wearing hanbok on Instagram or Threads. The content can be shared as stories, posts, or reels.
All submissions must include the hashtag #KCCHK_HanbokExperience and tag the @kcchongkong account. Participants must also comment 'Submitted!' under the official contest post to complete their entry. For those with private Instagram or Threads accounts, screenshots of their posts should be sent via direct message to @kcchongkong for verification purposes.
The selection criteria focus on three main aspects: visual appeal that showcases the beauty of hanbok, inspiring content that encourages others to visit KCCHK to try on hanbok, and content that generates strong engagement from viewers. The judging panel will evaluate submissions based on these standards to determine the winners.
Winning photos and stories will be featured on the Korean Cultural Center's official social media platforms, including Instagram, Threads, and Facebook, giving winners additional exposure and recognition for their creative submissions.
The contest includes several important rules and restrictions. Duplicate entries will not be accepted, and completing all required steps before the deadline constitutes a valid entry.
