CJ ENM, the pioneering organizer of KCON, announced on Friday that the world's largest Korean culture festival is slated to take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia next month. The event, officially titled "KCON Saudi Arabia 2023," will unfold on October 6-7, marking the second KCON in the Middle Eastern nation.
An impressive lineup of K-pop stars is scheduled to grace the two-day concert, including Everglow, Highlight, Hyolyn, Kard, Riize, Super Junior D&E (Donghae and Eunhyuk), and 8Turn on October 6, followed by Dreamcatcher, El7z Up, Evnne, Oh My Girl, Super Junior, Tempest, and TNX on October 7.
The festival's hallmark K-pop show, blending concerts with conventions, will mesmerize audiences at the Mohammed Abdu Arena within Boulevard Riyadh City, a vibrant entertainment and commercial complex at the heart of the Saudi Arabian capital.
This event in Riyadh marks the fourth stop for KCON this year, following successful editions in Thailand in March, Japan in May - which drew a record-breaking 123,000 attendees - and Los Angeles in August, where an astounding 140,000 people flocked to the festival.
In 2012, CJ ENM initiated KCON to promote Korean culture on the global stage, inviting foreign fans to immerse themselves in an authentic experience. Beginning in California, USA, the event has traversed various countries across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, contributing significantly to the international proliferation of Korean music, dramas, food, and beauty.
