Mnet, a renowned cable network, has unveiled the highly anticipated lineup for their upcoming girl group idol competition show, "Queendom: Puzzle." In a series of surprise performance videos released on Thursday, the first two subunits, PICK on the top and PICK-CAT, were introduced, each consisting of a diverse group of talented members hailing from various girl groups and solo careers.

PICK on the top showcases the talents of Nana and Wooyeon from Woo!Ah!, Soeun and Jihan from Weeekly, Jiwon from Cherry Bullet, and Lee Ji-woo from tripleS. On the other hand, PICK-CAT includes Yeeun, formerly from girl group CLC, Yeoreum from WJSN, Yuki from Purple Kiss, Sangah from Lightsum, Riina from H1-KEY, and Chaerin and Bora from Cherry Bullet. These subunit teams mesmerize viewers with their contrasting concepts, presenting unreleased tracks titled "Charismatic" and "SNAP."

Expressing her excitement, Nana from Woo!Ah! shared her nerves and enthusiasm about participating in her first survival show, stating, "I will try to unleash my charms that I wasn't able to in Woo!Ah!" However, the announcement also included news that two former-girl group members, Lee Chae-yeon from IZ*ONE and Haein from Laboum, would be leaving the show for personal reasons. Although no replacements are currently planned, it was revealed that the departing singers had already filmed several episodes of "Queendom" before their departure, adding an unexpected twist to the competition.

As the third installment in Mnet's highly successful "Queendom" series of idol competition shows, "Queendom: Puzzle" introduces a unique twist by featuring girl group members and solo artists forming different subunits akin to a puzzle. These subunits will engage in intense competition, all vying for a coveted spot in a project girl group that Mnet plans to debut after the final episode. The previous seasons of "Queendom" (2019) showcased girl groups such as Lovelyz, Mamamoo, and (G) -IDLE, while "Queendom 2" (2022) brought together Kep1er, Viviz, Loona, and WJSN.

Adding to the excitement, the renowned Taeyeon from Girls' Generation will take on the role of host for the show, further elevating the prestige and anticipation surrounding "Queendom: Puzzle." Mnet's commitment to promoting and showcasing talented idol groups and artists is further exemplified by their counterpart shows for boy groups, namely "Road to Kingdom" (2020) and "Kingdom" (2021).

With its star-studded lineup, intriguing subunit format, and the promise of fierce competition, "Queendom: Puzzle" is set to captivate audiences with its electrifying performances and engrossing journey towards the creation of a sensational project girl group. As fans eagerly await the premiere, Mnet continues to solidify its position as a leading platform for fostering and celebrating the immense talent within the Korean music industry.
