The Little Black Gallery and Alon Zakaim Fine Art are presenting "I Want You To Remember This Forever," marking the debut UK exhibition of acclaimed photographer Cig Harvey. The groundbreaking show opens on October 17th, 2025, featuring Harvey's sensuous photographic work alongside masterpieces from some of history's most celebrated artists.
The exhibition represents a unique inquiry into the concept of luminosity, pairing Harvey's contemporary photography with quintessential 19th and 20th century paintings and sculptures. The impressive roster of featured artists includes Marc Chagall, Le Corbusier, Pierre-Auguste Renoir, and Chaïm Soutine, creating an extraordinary dialogue between different artistic mediums and time periods.
Curated by Brandei Estes, former Head of Photographs at Sotheby's, the exhibition aims to explore the connections between Harvey's photographic vision and the techniques of master painters. Estes expressed her enthusiasm for the project, stating: "Cig Harvey's photographs capture fleeting beauty with the emotional intensity of painting, so I am delighted to have curated Harvey's first show in London with some of the greatest painters in art history."
The curator drew compelling parallels between Harvey's work and the Impressionist movement, noting her pursuit of light as a central theme. "Like the Impressionists, she chases light – turning ordinary moments into something timeless," Estes explained. "Her images echo the grace of Degas and the clarity of Cézanne, inviting us not just to look, but to remember."
"Cig Harvey: I Want You To Remember This Forever" will run through November 21, 2025, at Alon Zakaim Fine Art, located at 27 Cork Street, London W1S 3NG. Visitors can find additional information at www.alonzakaim.com and www.thelittleblackgallery.com.
