Onewe, the distinct K-pop rock outfit, is poised to make a resonant return with their upcoming album "XOXO," slated for release on August 29th. This announcement comes seven months after the band's inaugural English full-length album, "Gravity," hit the airwaves in January. With "XOXO," Onewe promises to captivate listeners with their melodic sound and intrinsic musical chemistry.
"XOXO" is a concise, four-track compilation that comprises the tracks "Salty Boy" and "Omnipresent," along with instrumental renditions of both songs. Within this musical tapestry, members Giuk and Dongmyeong lend their creative prowess to "Salty Boy," while Harin and Giuk contribute their talents to the other track.
At the heart of the album's creation lies Onewe's intrinsic involvement, as three of the band's members played integral roles in producing and writing the songs. The band's agency, RBW, attests to the dedicated artistic efforts that have culminated in "XOXO."
It's worth noting that members Yonghoon and Kanghyun are currently fulfilling their military obligations, regrettably preventing their participation in this latest musical endeavor.
Since their debut in 2019, Onewe has embarked on a musical journey that centers around their distinctive rock sound within the realm of K-pop. The band's discography, characterized by an array of albums encompassing melancholic themes, includes the "Fraction" digital single series, the "Universe" digital single series, and the "Demo album" series.
As "XOXO" prepares to make its mark on the music scene, Onewe's steadfast commitment to their distinctive musical identity remains a driving force. By weaving captivating melodies and innovative compositions, the band continues to carve a unique path within the realm of K-pop, captivating audiences and solidifying their status as a standout presence in the industry.
