In a remarkable debut on the Billboard 200 chart, up-and-coming group Boynextdoor has secured the No. 162 spot with their first EP, as revealed in a recent preview article by the renowned publication. The EP titled "Why ..." has garnered significant attention, notably with its lead single "But Sometimes," which clinched an impressive No. 5 position on the hot trending songs chart.
The debut EP proved to be a commercial success, surpassing expectations by selling over 449,000 copies in its first week. This remarkable figure stands four times higher than the sales of their debut single "Who!" Further adding to their achievements, the title track from the EP secured the top spot on a television music chart show—an extraordinary feat for the six-member ensemble.
Their music video for "But Sometimes" also captured the audience's attention, amassing an impressive 10 million views on YouTube within just three days of its release. Boynextdoor's success extends beyond borders, as evidenced by their strong presence in Japan. The mini album swiftly climbed to the No. 3 position on Oricon's weekly album ranking dated September 18, following its initial triumph atop the daily album ranking on its release day.
