Renowned Japanese artist Kohei Nawa, recognized for his captivating and thought-provoking creations, has brought his art to Pace Gallery Seoul. On the second floor of the gallery, visitors encounter Nawa's latest "PixCell" sculptures, a departure from his previous works. This series combines taxidermied animals and antique furniture adorned with crystal glass beads. Despite the shift in presentation, the core theme remains Nawa's exploration of our contemporary fixation on viewing the world through digital lenses, symbolized by the glass orbs.

Moving to the ground floor, the mesmerizing "Biomatrix" awaits viewers. This installation features a rectangular grid in a darkened space, illuminated by silicone oil bubbles that continuously rise and burst. Nawa's creation mirrors the perpetual cycle of birth and death, offering a contemplative perspective on the force of life.

The exhibition further explores the theme through the "Ether" series, showcasing 3D-modeled sculptures capturing various stages of liquid descent. The third floor houses the never-before-exhibited "Spark" series, coated in jet-black velvet, representing the forceful energy released by agitated cells. This particular artwork reflects Nawa's unease, inspired by the deepening ruptures in our reality caused by ongoing conflicts and military actions.
