Paju, located 40 kilometers northwest of Seoul, seeks to draw visitors during the Lunar New Year holiday, a time when many businesses and travel destinations experience closures.
Tourist sites along the Imjin River, such as the Imjingak Peace Gondola, DMZ LIVE Experience Hall, and Dokgae Bridge, will maintain regular operating hours.

Gondola rides will be complimentary for individuals aged 80 or older. Between February 10 and 11, visitors can partake in traditional Korean games free of charge.
The National Memorial for Abductees during the Korean War will be open on February 10.
Admission fees will be waived for two UNESCO World Heritage sites, Paju Jangneung Royal Tomb, and the Three Royal Tombs. Additionally, historical sites associated with prominent figures like Hwang Hui and Yulgok Yi I, key figures from the Joseon era, will offer free entry throughout the Lunar New Year holiday, as confirmed by a Paju city official.
Odusan Unification Tower, which began offering free admission in January, will open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. On February 10 and 11, the first 50 visitors can receive a special New Year message in Korean calligraphy on a first-come, first-served basis.
