Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae Hyun and Kim Jung Wook) has announced the launch of the ‘FC Pro Masters’ Korean qualifiers, a national selection tournament for EA SPORTS FC™ Mobile (FC Mobile), the globally recognized esports competition hosted by Electronic Arts (EA).

The ‘FC Pro Masters’ is an international tournament where national teams from Korea, China, and Japan compete for a total prize pool of $30,000. Scheduled to take place from May 8 to 10, the tournament will see two representatives from each country battle for supremacy in FC Mobile. Nexon will hold the Korean qualifiers from March 13 to April 12, offering a total prize of 7 million KRW. The event is further strengthened through a partnership with ‘eLigue 1 Tour’, an international esports competition associated with Ligue 1 McDonald’s, the top division of French professional football. This partnership is expected to expand both the global presence of FC Mobile and the recognition of French football among esports fans.

The online preliminaries will be held from March 13 to 26, allowing players to compete in the ‘Authentic Challenge Mode’ within the game. The top 40 players will advance to the offline qualifiers, which will take place at Nexon’s GB1 headquarters in Seongnam on April 5 and 6. Each day, 20 participants will compete in a group-stage and single-elimination format, with the top two players from each day advancing to the offline finals. All offline qualifier participants will receive 10,000 FV (in-game currency) and five ‘Special Chance 2’ tickets as rewards.

The offline finals will take place on April 12 at FreakUp Studio in Samseong-dong, Seoul, where the top four competitors will face off in a double-elimination bracket. The two final winners will be named Team Korea representatives for the FC Pro Masters tournament. The champion will receive 3 million KRW, while the runner-up will be awarded 2 million KRW. Additionally, both winners will receive exclusive benefits, including:

Tickets to the Paris Saint-Germain vs. AJ Auxerre match on May 18
A Paris Saint-Germain stadium tour pass
Round-trip flights to Paris
Accommodations in France
Further details about the Korean qualifiers for ‘FC Pro Masters’ can be found on the official FC Mobile community.
