KCON Japan 2023, the popular K-culture festival, will take place this week from Friday to Sunday, featuring a unique dance-along opportunity with girl groups STAYC and Le Sserafim. The festival offers a platform for K-pop fans to perform alongside their favorite stars on Saturday. The event will be held at Tokyo's Makuhari Messe convention center and will be streamed live through Genie Music STAYG, the KCON official YouTube channel, and MnetSmart+.
The festival organizers are holding an audition on Friday for contenders to perform "Poppy" by STAYC and "Antifragile" by Le Sserafim. The performers who pass the audition will get a chance to perform alongside the stars on the same day. STAYC and Le Sserafim are both extremely popular in Japan, with STAYC having dropped its second Japanese single "Poppy" last November and Le Sserafim releasing the Japanese version of "Fearless" in December 2022.
