On March 14, Garo Sero posted a statement on its YouTube community board, questioning Kim Soo Hyun’s previous denials of dating rumors. "Last year, he claimed the rumors were false, yet now he admits they dated for two years? Kim Sae Ron's family confirmed that their relationship lasted from 2015 for six years," they alleged.
The channel further claimed to possess photos and videos of Kim Soo Hyun, stating: "We have images of Kim Soo Hyun doing dishes while undressed at Kim Sae Ron’s house. The moment the bereaved family agrees, we will release them immediately."
Earlier, Garo Sero had also warned that they would reveal “explosive evidence” if Kim Soo Hyun fails to make a sincere public apology to Kim Sae Ron’s family.
Gold Medalist Responds with Legal Action Gold Medalist swiftly responded, denying allegations that Kim Soo Hyun dated Kim Sae Ron while she was a minor. The agency stated:
"Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron were in a relationship from the summer of 2019 to the fall of 2020 after she became an adult. Claims that they dated when she was underage are completely false."
The agency provided metadata evidence proving that the alleged 2016 photos were taken in 2019 and 2020. "The clothes Kim Sae Ron was wearing in the photo Garo Sero claims is from 2016 were released by a brand in June 2019. The claim that the picture was taken in 2016 is baseless."
Regarding a letter Kim Soo Hyun sent while in the military, the agency clarified:
"It was a general letter sent to multiple acquaintances. The phrase 'I miss you' was written in a casual tone, as one would say to close friends."
They also refuted claims that Kim Soo Hyun pressured Kim Sae Ron to repay debts related to her DUI settlement, stating:
"Kim Soo Hyun never lent money to Kim Sae Ron, nor did he demand repayment. The debts were solely between Kim Sae Ron and Gold Medalist. Due to her financial difficulties, the company covered her remaining debts in December 2023, as confirmed in our official audit report."
