On the opening night of November 28, INI, JO1, TVXQ, and Xikers are set to take the stage. INI, a K-pop boy group, recently achieved the top position on Oricon's Weekly Single chart with their latest album, "Tag Me." JO1 made waves by topping Oricon's Weekly Music chart three times consecutively with their third album, "Equinox," released in September. Meanwhile, the legendary K-pop band TVXQ is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year and plans to release its ninth LP in December. Xikers has been steadily growing its fan base and sold out tickets for their inaugural world tour.
On the second day of the awards ceremony, Ateez, NiziU, Riize, and Zerobaseone will perform. Ateez achieved million-seller status this year with their ninth EP released in June and marked a milestone by holding a standalone concert in Saudi Arabia, a first for a K-pop artist. NiziU, a K-pop girl group active in Japan, is set to debut in Korea on October 30. Riize, a multinational rookie boy band under SM Entertainment, rapidly sold over a million copies of their debut album within a day of its release. They are preparing to make a comeback with their second EP, "Melting Point," next month.
This marks the first instance of a Korean award ceremony being held at the Tokyo Dome, according to CJ ENM. The full list of participating artists for the event is yet to be disclosed.
