In a notable achievement, the music video for BTS's "Dynamite" has surpassed 1.8 billion views on YouTube, as reported by Big Hit Music on Friday.

Released in August 2020 as a digital single, "Dynamite" marked the septet's first venture into English-language music. The disco pop tune swiftly climbed to the top of Billboard's Hot 100, making BTS the first K-pop act to achieve such a feat. The single held the number one position on the chart for three consecutive weeks and maintained a presence for a total of 32 weeks. Notably, "Dynamite" secured a Grammy nomination, setting another milestone in K-pop history.

Oricon, a Japanese music statistics platform, reported that the upbeat song had garnered 700 million streams in Japan by April of the following year. This achievement positioned "Dynamite" as the second-ever song to reach this milestone and the first by an international artist.

The success of "Dynamite" on multiple fronts underscores BTS's global impact and the song's enduring popularity, further solidifying the group's position as trailblazers in the world of K-pop.
