A man has returned a stolen decorative toad statue to a Korean restaurant after security camera footage captured him taking the iconic mascot from outside the establishment. The incident occurred at Yeyak Korean Restaurant, where surveillance video clearly showed the individual carrying away the distinctive frog statue that had been displayed outside the restaurant. The Jinro toad statue, which serves as a recognizable symbol associated with the popular Korean soju brand, was a decorative feature that attracted customers and added to the restaurant's authentic Korean atmosphere. Security footage revealed the man removing the statue from its position outside the restaurant premises. Following the emergence of the CCTV evidence, the individual decided to return the stolen item to the restaurant. The statue's return comes as a relief to the restaurant owners, who had likely invested in the decorative piece to enhance their establishment's Korean cultural appeal. The Jinro brand's toad mascot is well-known among fans of Korean culture and soju enthusiasts, making the statue both a cultural symbol and an attractive decorative element for the Korean dining establishment. The incident highlights how modern security systems can effectively deter theft and encourage the return of stolen property when perpetrators realize they have been recorded.
