In a significant move, CJ ENM, the prominent South Korean entertainment company, is set to host KCON, its premier Korean culture and music celebration, in Hong Kong for the first time. The event is scheduled to take place on March 30-31 at the AsiaWorld-Expo, a major convention and exhibition facility capable of accommodating up to 10,000 visitors, and previously the venue for the MAMA Awards from 2013 to 2018.

Hong Kong, as the sixth-largest importer of K-pop albums, adds strategic significance to this expansion of KCON. CJ ENM aims to present a star-studded lineup featuring major K-pop acts during this inaugural KCON in Hong Kong.

Following the Hong Kong event, KCON is slated to be held in Japan on May 10-12 and in Los Angeles from July 26-28. Additionally, plans for KCON in Europe and Saudi Arabia in the latter half of the year are in the pipeline, with details yet to be disclosed.

Shim Jun-beom, CJ ENM's music content business head, expressed the company's vision for KCON, stating, "KCON, which has served as a platform where K-pop fans gather and experience Korean culture, will further evolve this year to establish its identity as a K-pop festival that projects K-pop's present and future."
