As the Korean art market heats up, western galleries are expanding in Seoul Korea.
The Paris - based International gallery “Perrotin” has unveiled its intentions to open a second art space in Seoul Gangnam Dosan Park on August 27th.
Perrotin Dosan Park will be eleventh location among seven cities.
An artist Yu Buk trapped goldfish in IV bags for a Jeonnam museum show in Gwangyang. Total of 15 goldfish were trapped, and they had been slowly dying during the exhibition. They were finally released after visitors complained about accusations of animal cruelty. They were removed, but one-third of them had already died. Yu buk said “The slow deaths of the goldfish were meant to be a part of my piece. Now that the fish are gone, it lost its meaning as a work of art,”
The Daejeon Museum of Art will host its biannual art exhibition, "Dajeon Biennale 2022."
From Aug 2nd to Oct 30th. It is an artwork created by the museum every two years that combines technology, nature, and humanity. 바이 에널레이Biennale 2022 will exhibit works by artists from 11contries including installation art, media art and paintings at Daejeon Creative Center.
