The Korea Organ Donation Agency announced on Monday the passing of 43-year-old dancer and mother of twin 7-year-old boys, Jang Hee-jae. Jang's organs, including her lungs, liver, and kidneys, were donated after her death, ultimately saving the lives of four individuals.

According to the agency, Jang experienced a heart failure while asleep at her parent's home on March 9, leading to her subsequent brain death despite medical intervention.

Jang's bereaved family shared their decision to donate her organs, expressing their desire to convey a message of goodwill to her young sons and to offer hope to others in need of organ transplants.

The family acknowledged their familiarity with the challenges faced by individuals with organ failure, citing Jang's grandmother's prolonged struggle with kidney problems and reliance on dialysis for over two decades.

Following Jang's passing, custody of her twin boys was entrusted to her older sister, who will raise them alongside her own daughter.

Jang, described as a strong leader who enjoyed helping others, was remembered by her family for her unwavering generosity and commitment to volunteer work and charitable donations.
