KOZ Entertainment, the creative brainchild of rapper-producer Zico, is all set to unleash its inaugural boy group's first mini-album titled "WHY" on September 4th. Born in 2019 under the wings of HYBE, the label synonymous with global sensation BTS, KOZ Entertainment is making its mark with BOYNEXTDOOR's much-anticipated musical offering.
Following their impressive debut with the album "WHO!" on May 30th, the six-member ensemble BOYNEXTDOOR is once again ready to captivate audiences with their latest creation, "WHY." Comprising Sungho, Riwoo, Jaehyun, Taesan, Leehan, and Woonhak, the group has seamlessly combined individual talents to craft their own sonic identity.
The forthcoming mini-album, as unveiled by KOZ Entertainment, revolves around the theme of youth. A statement from the label explained, "Jaehyun, Taesan, and Woonhak participated in the creative process of the lead single, 'But Sometimes,' and two other tunes so as to make them more relatable to the listeners of the same age." This deliberate creative involvement underscores the group's commitment to delivering a musical experience that resonates deeply with their audience.
"WHY" also includes a selection of tracks from their previous release "WHO!" – namely, "But I Like You," "One and Only," and "Serenade." The album introduces two new songs, "Crying" and "ABCDLOVE," marking a continuation of the musical narrative that delves into the intricacies of young love.
Exploring the intricacies of emotional experiences, KOZ Entertainment elucidated, "The three songs that were previously unveiled depict the boys in first love, while the new tracks capture the emotions they feel after a breakup. They depict the beginning and end of first love." Through their musical journey, BOYNEXTDOOR aims to articulate and mirror the spectrum of feelings that accompany the rollercoaster of youthful romance.
As the countdown to "WHY" commences, fans and music enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the sonic tapestry BOYNEXTDOOR will weave with their unique narrative. With Zico's guiding hand and HYBE's illustrious legacy in the background, the boy group's endeavor is poised to make an indelible impact on the evolving K-pop landscape.
