South Korean singer Chuu, formerly a member of the K-pop group Loona, has released her debut EP, "Howl," marking her solo career debut six years after her initial group debut. Her solo journey follows a contentious contract dispute with her previous agency, Blockberry Creative, which resulted in her removal from Loona in November.

Chuu expressed her remorse over the dispute, emphasizing the impact on her loyal fan base. She released "Howl" as a testament to the trust she has in her supporters.

The EP's title track, "Howl," conveys a comforting message, portraying two wounded individuals as tiny yet powerful heroes who heal each other. Chuu states that the lyrics represent her own emotions and those of her fans, offering courage to face challenging moments.

In addition to "Howl," the EP includes four other tracks, "Underwater," "My Place," "Aliens," and "Hitchhiker," each exploring different musical genres, from R&B to synth-pop.

Chuu announced the upcoming release of a music video for "Hitchhiker" following the publication of videos for "Howl" and "Underwater."

Her solo debut not only signifies a new chapter in her career but also represents her transition to a new agency, ATRP, after leaving Blockberry Creative in March 2022. Chuu's departure from Loona was marked by a lengthy legal battle with her former agency, which resulted in her expulsion from the group.

Chuu revealed that she and her former Loona bandmates remain in contact, supporting each other as they pursue individual paths. They continue to hold discussions about the possibility of reuniting in the future.

Looking ahead, Chuu aspires to make a significant impact as a solo artist, using her music to inspire and connect with her audience.
