The Busan international game show "G-Star 2022," which opened on the 17th with the slogan "Life is Game," wrapped up its four-day amazing schedule very successfully.
Despite the global economic recession, "G-Star 2022," which was held in a large exhibition hall of 2,947 booths divided into BTC and B2B halls, was a huge success with a total of 987 games and related companies from 43 countries around the world.
Unlike last year's "G-Star 2021," which was reduced due to the influence of the COVID-19 pandemic, "G-Star 2022" was operated normally and numerous gamers visited the site. They cheered by playing various games themselves through many systems prepared by exhibitors.
In particular, unlike G-Star in the past, which had a large proportion of PC online and smartphone games, "G-Star 2022" introduced many blockbuster-class console games with good quality, drawing attention from gamers as well as overseas buyers.
Visitors paid special attention to Krafton's next film, "Callisto Protocol," which is gaining worldwide popularity with its survival shooting game called "Battle Ground." They had to wait in line for more than an hour to play the game themselves.
They also showed a very special interest in Neowiz's unique role-playing game "Lies of P." This game was considered the most remarkable game even before the G-Star was held.
"Callisto Protocol" and "Lies of P" are both basically console platform-based games. In addition, the two games are considered masterpieces that have raised the level of development of console games in Korea to the next level. These games are being prepared to launch simultaneously in the global market in the future.

Buyers were also very interested in WeMade's blockchain-based games, which are the main sponsors of "G-Star 2022" and are leading the new trend of combining global blockchain and games.
The additional event of "G-Star 2022" also greatly increased the response of global game developers and marketers to "G-CON," a global conference held during the exhibition. The conference was so popular that 6,500 officials from all over the world participated.
In this "G-CON," world-famous experts came out as lecturers. They divided into 44 sessions and presented various issues, and had heated discussions with participants on rapidly evolving technologies and changes in new market trends.
According to the "G-Star Organizing Committee," 184,000 visitors visited the BEXCO site in Busan during the four days of the "G-Star 2022." The number of game fans who watched G-Star on the online platform is estimated to be close to 1 million.
The committee announced, "The number of unique viewers (UV) who watched the online broadcast of 'G-Star TV', which operated the same as the operating hours of the offline event, was tentatively tallied to more than 970,000."
A total of 2,213 overseas buyers visited the BTB halls which has expanded 2.5 times from last year, and consulted on business. This is an increase of 60% compared to last year, and is an important evidence that overseas game publishers are very interested in Korean games.
Kang Sin Cheo, chairman of the G-Star organizing committee, said "we are grateful that this "G-Star 2022" has been completed very successfully thanks to the active cooperation of Exhibitos and visitors."
He added "next year, we will prepare better and make "G-Star 2023" the world's best game festival that takes a step forward."
