Boy group TXT(TOMORROW X TOGETHER)'s fifth mini-album, "The Name Chapter: TEMPTION", released on the 27th, is making a sensation in the K-Pop world with more than 1.8 million amazing sales on the first day of its release alone.
Citing Hanteo Chart, TXT's agency Big Hit Music announced on the 28th that a total of 1,868,919 copies of their fifth album, "The Name Chapter: TEMPTION", were sold on the first day of its official release.
TXT is the first group in the K-Pop world to record sales of more than 1.8 million albums on the first day of the release of the new album since World Star BTS.
TXT's fourth album, "minisode 2: Thursday's Child," released in May last year, sold 910,000 copies on the first day of its release, more than doubling their record in eight months.
TXT's "The Name Chapter: TEMPTION" album had been heralded as a sensation even before its release. The reason is that pre-orders received before the official release reached 2.16 million copies, which was expected to far exceed the previous one.
The first-day sales of TXT's fifth album surpassed the cumulative total of 1.83,050 copies of their fourth album "minisode 2: Thursday's Child".

The album, "minisode 2: Thursday's Child", ranked third in the U.S. top-selling CD album rankings in 2022, was a big hit, surpassing the total sales of its predecessor, "The Name Chapter: TEMPTION".
The album has also received explosive responses from overseas and is ranked No. 1 on iTunes' "Top Album" chart in 30 countries around the world as of 9 a.m. on the 28th.
In particular, the title track "Sugar Rush Ride" is especially popular. The song reached the top of the 'Top Songs' charts in 17 countries. In the Korean music market, it entered the top 100 chart of Melon as of 3 p.m. on the 27th and reached third place at midnight on the 28th.
Music critics said that "Sugar Rush Ride" is an alternative pop dance genre song that compares the devil's temptation of suddenly given freedom and play to "Sugar Rush," which is in a state of excitement due to sweetness.

TXT's members said at a showcase in Gangnam, Seoul on the 26th, "If "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" expressed the boys who experienced their first breakup, this album prepared hard to express the stories of young people who faced the temptation to remain boys like "Peter Pan".
As expected, they are dreaming of becoming No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard main album chart "Billboard 200" because the initial response was very good. As "minisode 2: Thursday's Child" reached the fourth place on the chart, this album showed a strong determination to regain the top of the Billboard chart.

TXT, which held its first world tour concert since its debut last year and had a busy year by participating in AMA, one of the top three U.S. music awards, plans to continue its activities this year.
TXT will start its second world tour, "ACT: SWEET MIRAGE," starting in Seoul in March. They will first perform in Seoul for two days from March 25 to 26, followed by a total of 21 relay performances in 13 cities, including Singapore, Taipei, Osaka, Saitama, Kanagawa, Aichi, Charlotte, Belmont Park, Washington, D.C., Dullus, San Antonio and LA.
Big Hit Music explained "Last year, TXT performed 19 times in 13 cities, and this time, the scale was greatly increased. This shows that TXT's popularity and influence in the global K-Pop market has grown significantly."
