In a groundbreaking collaboration, K-pop sensation aespa is set to captivate fans in an immersive virtual reality (VR) concert experience, the first of its kind, to be screened at Megabox theaters in South Korea starting October 25. This unprecedented event is a result of a partnership between VR concert platform AmazeVR and Studio Realive, a subsidiary of SM Entertainment, the management company behind aespa.

Titled "LYNK-POP: THE 1st VR CONCERT aespa," the show aims to transcend conventional VR video content, offering fans a truly immersive concert experience. The concert will showcase aespa's chart-topping hits and employ the cutting-edge Meta Quest 3 VR headset from Meta, affording aespa fans a pioneering encounter with this innovative technology. Viewers will have the opportunity to directly engage with the group's members: Karina, Winter, Giselle, and Ningning.

aespa's AmazeVR concert was initially revealed in March at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Music Festival, garnering widespread acclaim for its inventive approach.

"Aespa takes fans on a journey through new worlds and experiences with their performances and visuals," noted Studio Realive CEO Lee Seung-woo. "The VR concert perfectly aligns with aespa's essence of traversing virtual spaces, and we are thrilled for MYs (aespa fans) to experience this remarkable show."

Steve Lee, co-CEO of AmazeVR, emphasized how K-Pop consistently pushes the boundaries of innovative fan engagement. He expressed excitement about collaborating with SM Entertainment and aespa to introduce their debut VR concert through an engaging and distinctive activation. Lee emphasized the desire to make "LYNK-POP: THE 1st VR CONCERT aespa" accessible to as many fans as possible, even those without a VR headset, by delivering an unforgettable immersive and interactive experience.

Since bursting onto the K-pop scene in 2020, aespa has achieved tremendous success with a series of chart-toppers, including "Black Mamba" (2020) and "Next Level" (2021). Notably, the group consists of four human members and their respective digital avatars, adding a unique dimension to their presence in the K-pop world.
