Established in Seoul in 2005, ONE AND J. Gallery has earned a reputation for its curatorial approach and its focus on promoting the work of young contemporary Korean artists. Over the years, the gallery has exhibited an impressive roster of artists who have participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions around the world.

The gallery's represented artists have showcased their works in prominent exhibitions such as the Gwangju Biennale, Dunedin Public Art Gallery, Esslingen Foto and Media Triennale, Adelaide International, Wellington Art Gallery, Daegu Photo Biennale, Incheon Women Artist Biennale, and the Singapore Biennale, among others. They have also exhibited in renowned institutions such as the Museum of Fine Arts Houston, Spencer of Museum of Art, Nam June Paik Art Center, Artsonje, House of World Cultures in Berlin, National Museum of Contemporary Art, Seoul Museum of Art, David Roberts Art Foundation, Somerset House, Mori Museum, Asia Pacific Triennale, and Samsung Museum of Art.

The gallery's artists have made a mark in the contemporary art scene, and their works are now in the permanent collections of esteemed institutions such as the Spencer Museum, the Mori Museum, Queensland Museum of Art, National Gallery of Victoria, National Museum of Contemporary Art, LACMA, the Hammer, the Hirshhorn Museum, Seoul Museum of Art, Sungkok Museum of Art, the Iljoo Foundation, the Burger Collection, K-11 Art Project, Bank of America, UBS, Fidelity Investments, MUDAM (The Contemporary Art Museum of Luxembourg), and MoCA Busan.

ONE AND J. Gallery has showcased its artists at major art fairs around the world, including Art Basel Miami, Art Basel, Art Basel Hong Kong, the Armory Show, Art Los Angeles Contemporary, Frieze London, and Taipei Dangdai. The gallery was also awarded the 20th Baloise Art Prize at Art Basel in 2018.
