Artist Seung Ji Won(승지원) holds her solo exhibition, 'a day'.
Seung is a Korean contemporary artist who combines two different genres, oil painting and felt, with a unique way of creating a soft and warm texture. She creates artworks that seem alive by placing felt artworks, which usually exist as only one object on the canvas.
The artist captures with her warm eyes the time when ordinary life is brightly lit with a handful of sunlight. She suggests a new method of creative activity through fusion with felt crafts of still-life painting, which was used as a popular material in art history.

The artist compares the process of completing a work to the process of a fruit tree bearing fruit. After the artist's sincere touch and warm gaze, the work is finally reborn as a work of brilliant color as if it were bearing fruit.
She explains the significance of producing her work, saying, "I hope my artworks can give people the same happiness as when I take a bite of ripe fruit".

The artist pays attention to ripe fruits. She places soft and fluffy fruits made with felt crafts in the foreground painted with oil, making the audience feel warm emotions.
The exhibition will be held at PBG The Hyundai in Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul until the 29th.
