Artist Park Minkyung will hold her first solo exhibition, “Things That Fade and Bloom,” at Artlogic Space from Oct. 6–11.

The exhibition presents oil paintings that use flowers to examine emotional change, uncertainty and recovery. Rather than treating flowers solely as decorative subjects, Park relates their cycles of blooming, movement and decay to shifts in a person’s inner state.

Layered colours and fluid brushstrokes represent both recognisable emotions and less clearly defined states. Forms overlap and disperse across the canvas, preventing the flowers from appearing as fixed objects.

The exhibition title reflects Park’s view that fading does not necessarily represent a final ending. Withering and disappearance are presented as stages that may lead to another period of growth.

The works on view include “Deficiency,” “Romance in the Clouds,” “Shining in the End,” “In Your Embrace, I Grow Lush,” “Jewels in the Field,” “Love and Hate,” “Entirely You” and “Destiny.” All were completed in 2026 using oil on canvas.

Park graduated from the Western painting departments at Anyang Arts High School and Sejong University. She has participated in group and two-person exhibitions at Gallery Marron, Insa 1010, Gowith Gallery, Kim Jungsook Gallery and Sun Art Space.

Following the Artlogic Space exhibition, Park is scheduled to participate in the Seoul Art Show at COEX from Dec. 23–27.
