Italian luxury furniture brand Henge has unveiled an immersive experiential space at Design Miami 2025, showcasing its commitment to blending traditional Italian craftsmanship with contemporary design aesthetics. The Henge Collectors Lounge, curated by renowned designer Ugo Cacciatori, opened to visitors from December 2-7, 2025, at the brand's recently opened Miami showroom.
The carefully designed lounge space features a comprehensive display of Henge's signature collections, ranging from dramatic pendant lighting fixtures to modular furniture pieces. The installation aims to highlight the company's philosophy of producing products that seamlessly merge artisanal Italian craft techniques with cutting-edge contemporary design principles. Throughout the space, striking Spyder 80 pendant lamps hang strategically above spherical metal tables, creating a dynamic contrast with the soft, modular sofas positioned below.
The lounge's design elements emphasize materiality and sensory experience. The bar area showcases a dramatic quartzite counter that has been backlit to accentuate the natural stone's unique characteristics and texture. The space's centerpiece is described as a sculptural table designed to "offer a sense of intimacy" for visitors. The walls are clad in a golden metallic finish specifically chosen to capture and reflect natural light throughout the day.
"The design unfolds through essential volumes and sharp geometries, creating a constant dialogue between architectural rigour and material warmth," Henge explained in describing their Collectors Lounge concept. The company added that "the lounge embodies a space where materials and forms combine to create a complete sensory experience, offering visitors a moment of retreat within the fair." The brand further noted that "pendant lights mark the perception of space with a precise, theatrical rhythm."
Paolo Tormena, founder of Henge, expressed his enthusiasm about the Miami debut. "We are proud to present the Henge Collectors Lounge at Design Miami, a project that embodies our vision of contemporary design," Tormena stated. "Through the use of exceptional materials, artisanal craftsmanship and a strong sense of atmosphere, we wanted to create a space that feels both intimate and powerful." He continued, "This debut marks an important step in our relationship with Miami, a city that shares our passion for design and innovation."
Henge, established in 2007, derives its name from the ancient stones of Stonehenge. The company specializes in creating modular and customizable products that are "not constrained by the limitations created by industrial production techniques." The immersive lounge experience reflects the brand's core philosophy and serves as a relaxing retreat space where Design Miami visitors can take a break from navigating the extensive festival offerings. The event took place at the Miami Beach Convention Center, located at 1901 Convention Center Drive in Miami, Florida.
