NewJeans, the popular girl group, has released a new single titled "How Sweet" at 1 p.m. on Friday. This marks their first release in ten months. The single includes the title track "How Sweet," the pre-released track "Bubble Gum," and instrumental versions of both songs.
The title track "How Sweet" is described by their agency, Ador, as a lively song based on Miami Bass, a hip-hop subgenre known for its fast tempo and hi-hat rhythm. According to a press release, NewJeans members highlighted the song's repeat-listening appeal, stating, "The song, choreography, and styling all introduce a new style. We practiced the choreography diligently, so please enjoy it along with the dance."
"Bubble Gum," characterized by its city pop vibe, features a music video that captures the five members playing by the summer beach. The music video for "How Sweet" is scheduled to be released three hours after the album's debut. NewJeans will perform on KBS 2TV’s Music Bank and release a performance video following this.
