Interior designer and decorator Malgorzata Joubert has opened a 60-square-meter showroom in the Ragonnières business district of La Chapelle-Heulin, near Nantes. The exhibition space is located on the ground floor of the Joubert Group building company, which specializes in facades and insulation.
The showroom serves as the physical extension of MJO Création, Joubert's interior design and decoration company that she established in 2020. Named MJO Bien-être, the space showcases "the entire universe and spirit of the designer's home," bringing together her complete aesthetic vision and philosophy.
The inspiration for opening the showroom came from feedback Joubert received from guests who stayed at Villa Beauchêne, three luxury vacation rentals located in Le Landreau. Joubert and her partner purchased and completely transformed these accommodations, and many guests were impressed by her decoration work. "Many people talked to me about the decoration. I thought, why not create a place that showcases my work and my inspirations," Joubert explained.
The showroom features Joubert's signature style, which includes refurbished furniture and a complete range of high-quality decorative materials that she personally sources and selects from Scandinavian countries and artisan craftspeople. The space displays items such as a Christmas wreath made in Poland and traditional jars crafted in India, demonstrating her commitment to authentic, handcrafted pieces.
The exhibition space encompasses everything related to home and wellness, including small decorative objects, lighting fixtures, renovated and stylized furniture, fabrics, candles, and soaps. Joubert pays particular attention to eco-design principles, ensuring that many fabrics and products are 100% natural while others are handmade by artisans.
The showroom operates on multiple levels of accessibility. It remains open during regular business hours to accommodate professionals and Joubert's existing clients, serving as a complement to her design activities. Once a month, the space will open to the general public like a traditional boutique during special event days. The first public event is planned to feature a Japanese tea producer as a special guest.
Additionally, Joubert offers private appointments for those interested in visiting the showroom outside of regular hours. She celebrated the opening with a private launch event on November 5th, marking the beginning of this new chapter in her design business.
MJO Bien-être represents Joubert's vision of combining sustainable design practices with international influences, creating a unique space where clients can experience her complete approach to interior decoration and wellness-focused living.
