The movie features a star-studded cast, including Ha Jung-woo, Yeo Jin-goo, Sung Dong-il, and Chae Soo-bin.
Ha Jung-woo and Sung Dong-il portray pilots Tae-in and Gyu-sik, respectively, tasked with managing the hijacking situation and protecting the passengers. Ha described the role as his most challenging to date, emphasizing the physical demands and the necessity for detailed performance under the guidance of a real pilot.

Sung Dong-il plays the chief pilot, Gyu-sik, who supports Tae-in throughout the crisis. This marks a reunion for Ha and Sung, who previously appeared together in "Take Off" (2009).
Yeo Jin-goo takes on the role of a North Korean hijacker, his first portrayal of a villain. He expressed the difficulty of controlling his emotions while acting and aimed to depict the character without glamorizing him.

Chae Soo-bin plays Ok-soon, a flight attendant navigating between the cabin and cockpit. To prepare for the role, Chae studied the work of flight attendants from the 1970s and underwent training at a flight attendant school.
Director Kim emphasized the importance of realism in the film, noting that the art team constructed a life-sized aircraft mounted on a gimbal to create an authentic portrayal of the in-flight emergency. He highlighted the focus on the camaraderie of the passengers enduring the ordeal together.
"Hijacking" is set to premiere in local theaters on June 21.
