Jin's Instagram
In a recent development, a female nursing officer in her twenties from the army finds herself under investigation for leaving her workplace without permission. The officer's visit was confirmed to be at the unit where Jin, a member of the globally renowned K-pop group BTS, works. There are suspicions that she may have administered a vaccination directly to Jin, further complicating the situation.
The army acknowledges the officer's unauthorized visit, but it emphasizes the need to verify whether she indeed administered the vaccine. The possibility that an officer who made an unauthorized visit might have given an injection to a soldier is a matter that remains open for investigation. The nursing officer denies the allegations of administering vaccinations to Jin, asserting her innocence in the matter.
According to the army's statement on the 19th, Lieutenant A, the nursing officer in question, visited the 5th Division Recruit Training Center where Jin serves without obtaining proper authorization in January. Furthermore, Lieutenant A is suspected of administering the second dose of the vaccination against epidemic hemorrhagic fever to Jin at the medical office of the recruit training center.
The revelation of these events has caused BTS fans to express their disapproval, accusing the nursing officer of using her status to engage in stalking behavior. Demands for strong punitive measures have arisen from the fan community.
The army responded to the situation by stating, "After receiving the case in March, an inspection was conducted, confirming that Lieutenant A visited another unit without permission in January. We are currently handling the matter, and based on the results, we will enforce appropriate actions in accordance with the relevant laws and regulations."
According to Article 79 of the Military Criminal Act, leaving the workplace without reporting to a superior can be punishable by imprisonment for up to one year. The army is obligated to consider disciplinary actions in light of this violation.
However, regarding media reports suggesting that Lieutenant A utilized a personal relationship with a nursing officer from Jin's unit to approach him, the army debunked the claims, stating, "The report alleging a preliminary conspiracy involving an officer from another unit, as presented by a certain media company, has been proven false upon investigation."
Lieutenant A, on the other hand, maintains her innocence, stating, "I was not aware that BTS was present in the unit, and my visit was intended solely to provide assistance."
Contrary to Lieutenant A's claim, no one within the army has received a report from her indicating her intention to visit the unit.
While the unauthorized visit has been confirmed, the army will proceed with additional investigations to further scrutinize Lieutenant A's claims and shed light on the matter. The complex nature of the allegations involving unauthorized visitation and possible vaccine administration necessitates a thorough examination to ascertain the facts accurately.
