American R&B singer-songwriter Giveon will perform his first-ever concerts in South Korea next January, bringing his distinctive baritone voice to Korean fans at Seoul's Myunghwa Live Hall. The 30-year-old artist, best known for his collaboration on Justin Bieber's chart-topping hit "Peaches," will hold two shows on January 18-19 in Yeongdeungpo-gu, western Seoul.
Ticket sales for the highly anticipated concerts will begin Wednesday at 8 p.m. through NOL Interpark, according to event organizer Live Nation Korea. The Seoul performances mark the beginning of Giveon's Asian tour leg, which follows his successful European tour announcement that includes a major stop at London's prestigious O2 Arena.
The Grammy-nominated artist recently completed his North American "Dear Beloved The Tour," which launched in Seattle this past October. The tour's success has paved the way for his international expansion, with Korean fans eagerly awaiting his arrival after gaining significant popularity in the region through his various musical collaborations and solo work.
Giveon first captured Korean audiences' attention through his featured appearance on Justin Bieber's "Peaches," released in March 2021, which became a massive international hit. His smooth baritone vocals and romantic R&B style resonated strongly with fans, establishing him as a rising star in the Korean music market despite never having performed there previously.
The Long Beach, California native has built an impressive career through notable collaborations and solo releases. He gained significant recognition for his feature on Drake's "Chicago Freestyle" and achieved breakthrough success with his 2020 EP "Take Time," which included the mega-hit "Heartbreak Anniversary."
