For the first time in its decade-long history, the artists' association Les Peintres de Royan is bringing its work to Saintes for a special exhibition. The show is being held at the Étoile Hall from September 1st through September 13th, located near the François-Mitterrand Media Library.

Les Peintres de Royan was established exactly ten years ago with a clear mission: to provide amateur artists with opportunities to showcase their work together in group exhibitions. The association has grown steadily over the years and now boasts a membership of 23 dedicated artists who share a passion for painting and artistic expression.

The group maintains a regular presence in the community through their weekly meetings at the Royan Community Center, where members gather to work on their art and share techniques. This consistent schedule has proven beneficial for fostering creativity and collaboration among the diverse group of artists.

"This setup really encourages great artistic stimulation among our members," explained Marine Cavalec, who handles communications for the association. "We have artists working in all different styles and approaches, but we try to maintain a fairly consistent standard when it comes to quality." This balance between artistic diversity and quality control has become a hallmark of the group's exhibitions and community presence.
