Christie's rolled out more than a dozen additional highlights from what will likely be the most expensive collection ever to be sold at auction. Approximately 150 works from the collection of Paul Allen, the late Microsoft co-founder, are expected to bring a record-breaking $1 billion in auctions starting November 9. Christie's announced that the auction will offer a "comprehensive examination of the art-historical canon."
A landscape by Paul Cézanne worth more than $100 million and a painting by Jasper Johns worth $50 million stood out in the first announcement. The specifics on 15 additional works have been revealed, with most of the works having prices listed as "estimate on request,"

The works of the masters, who were Seuret, Van Gogh, and Cézanne, are estimated to be worth more than $100 million. Also, the paintings by Klimt and Gauguin will be up for bid, which are estimated to be worth at least $90 million each.
