Esteemed boy band 2PM is gearing up to mark a significant milestone in their career with a series of highly anticipated concerts in both Korea and Japan. Celebrating 15 years since their debut, the six-member group is set to enthral fans with their first concerts in Korea in six years and their first performance in Japan in seven years, signaling a momentous reunion for their devoted followers.
The Korean leg of the celebratory concerts will take place at the Jamsil Gymnasium in Songpa District, southern Seoul, on September 9 and 10. Titled "2PM 15th Anniversary Concert," the performances are slated to be an unforgettable experience for attendees, who eagerly await the opportunity to witness the group's sensational live shows once again. JYP Entertainment, the agency representing 2PM, revealed that these concerts will be the boy band's first in Korea since their "6Nights" tour held in July 2016.
For those unable to attend in person, the Sept. 10 concert will be streamed live through Beyond Live, an esteemed online concert streaming service, enabling fans from around the world to partake in the celebratory festivities virtually.
Following the exhilarating shows in Korea, the group will continue their celebratory journey with concerts at the renowned Ariake Arena in Tokyo on October 7 and 8. These concerts hold particular significance for the Japanese fanbase, as it marks 2PM's first concert in Japan in seven years, making it an unmissable event for their dedicated international audience.
Tickets for the Korean concerts will be made available in two phases, with members of 2PM's official fan club getting early access on August 4, followed by a general ticket sale on August 7. Additionally, tickets for live viewing of the concerts will also be released on the same day, allowing fans to experience the excitement from the comfort of their homes.
Details regarding ticket sales for the Japanese leg of the concerts will be disclosed at a later date, according to JYP Entertainment.
Debuting under JYP Entertainment in 2008, 2PM quickly rose to prominence with a string of chart-topping hits, including "Heartbeat" (2009), "My House" (2015), and "Hands Up" (2011). Five members of the boy band — Jun. K, Nichkhun, Wooyoung, Junho, and Chansung — renewed their exclusive contracts with JYP Entertainment in 2018. Taecyeon, the sixth member, pursued a different path, signing an exclusive contract with agency 51k. Nevertheless, all six members continue to collaborate with JYP Entertainment when promoting under the renowned banner of 2PM.
As the eagerly awaited concerts draw near, fans worldwide are eagerly counting down the days to celebrate 2PM's impressive 15-year journey and to cherish the remarkable music and memories they have created over the years.
