Formed through the reality competition "Boy Fantasy," the 11-member group made its debut in September with the EP "New Tomorrow" and followed up with the release of their second EP, "Potential," just two months later. Impressively, their debut album achieved sales of over 130,000 copies in its first week.

In December, Fantasy Boys held a concert in Tokyo where Japanese fans expressed their desire for official releases of the band's hit songs in their language. Instead, the group surprised their fans by gifting exclusive CDs featuring Japanese-language versions of "New Tomorrow" and "One Shot" at the event.
