Jungkook, a member of the K-pop group BTS, has attained the 10th position on the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry's (IFPI) 2023 chart for top global singles. The recognition comes for his debut solo single, "Seven," according to the IFPI website, representing the interests of the global recording industry.

As the only Korean artist in the top 10, Jungkook joins notable names such as Miley Cyrus with "Flowers" topping the chart, SZA's "Kill Bill" at No. 3, and Harry Styles' "As It Was" at No. 5. IFPI, comprising over 8,000 worldwide record labels, compiles the chart based on metrics such as paid subscription streaming, single track downloads, and other relevant factors.
Jungkook's achievement marks a significant milestone, making him the first Korean soloist to secure a top 10 position in 11 years since Psy. Psy, in 2012, became the inaugural Korean act to enter the chart, paving the way for BTS to make appearances in 2020 with "Dynamite" and in 2021 with "Butter."
"Seven," released in July last year, debuted at No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard's Hot 100 main singles chart. The single also reached No. 3 on the British Official Singles Top 100 chart, solidifying its global popularity.
