Joohoney, a cherished member of the beloved K-pop boy group Monsta X, has embarked on a significant chapter in his life as he commences his mandatory military service. The 29-year-old artist entered boot camp on Monday, transitioning into the role of an active duty soldier upon completion of basic training, as confirmed by his management company, Starship Entertainment. In a gesture to avoid overcrowding, the agency has chosen not to disclose the specific location and time of his enlistment.

Fulfilling his national duty, Joohoney, whose birth name is Lee Joo-heon, follows in the footsteps of his fellow Monsta X members "Shownu" and "Minhyuk," who have also dutifully completed their military service. Shownu successfully concluded his service in April, while fans eagerly await Minhyuk's return to civilian life, anticipated in October 2024.

In a heartfelt message to his devoted fans on Monsta X's official fan website on July 11, Joohoney reassured them with touching words, "I am not leaving forever, so please don't worry and think of me once a day.
