Seventeen, the acclaimed K-pop sensation, has achieved an extraordinary milestone in the music industry by selling over 10 million copies of their albums in 2023, as confirmed by their agency, Pledis Entertainment, on Thursday.

In an era dominated by digital streaming, where CDs often symbolize fans' unwavering loyalty, Seventeen's exceptional accomplishment of selling 11,043,265 physical copies of their albums from January 1 to September 30 stands as a testament to their widespread popularity and dedicated fanbase.

The band's 10th EP, "FML," played a pivotal role in this achievement, boasting a remarkable 6.27 million copies sold since its release on April 24. Notably, this sets a new standard for K-pop album sales, firmly establishing Seventeen's influence in the music landscape.

Following "FML," the band's fourth full-length album, "Face the Sun" (2022), made a substantial contribution with sales reaching 950,000 copies. Additionally, the EP "Second Wind" by the band subunit BSS, released in February, also made a notable mark.

Seventeen's aggregate album sales surpassed the remarkable milestone of 10 million for the first time in November 2021, six years and six months after their debut in 2015. Their consistency in breaking records and captivating audiences showcases their enduring impact on the global music scene.

Looking ahead, Seventeen is gearing up to release their highly anticipated 11th EP, "Seventeenth Heaven," on October 23. To celebrate their phenomenal journey and engagement with their devoted fanbase, a pop-up store will be open until October 9 in Seongsu-dong of Seongdong District, eastern Seoul.
