The Korea Entertainment Producers' Association has filed a criminal complaint against nCH Entertainment, accusing the talent agency of deliberately spreading false information and obstructing preparations for the highly anticipated "Dream Concert in Hong Kong." The complaint alleges that nCH Entertainment engaged in activities designed to disrupt the major K-pop event scheduled to take place in February.
In an official statement released on Thursday, the Korea Entertainment Producers' Association, known as KEPA, outlined serious allegations against nCH Entertainment regarding the upcoming concert. The event is set to be held on February 6-7 at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Sports Park, marking another significant international expansion of the popular Dream Concert series.
"During preparations for Dream Concert in Hong Kong, we confirmed that nCH Entertainment engaged in the dissemination of false information, made threats and intentionally interfered with the production process," KEPA stated in their announcement. The association emphasized that these alleged actions "pose serious harm to the stability of event preparations and the reputation of participating artists and partner companies."
KEPA has already submitted the criminal complaint, along with what they describe as supporting evidence, to the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul. The organization stated that it will provide full cooperation with the police investigation and intends to pursue additional legal action to establish the facts and determine responsibility in the matter.
The Korea Entertainment Producers' Association, which has been organizing major K-pop events for more than three decades, stressed its commitment to protecting the integrity of its productions. The organization indicated it will respond firmly to any instances of misinformation or unlawful business obstruction to ensure the safety and security of both artists and audiences.
Despite the ongoing dispute with nCH Entertainment, KEPA assured fans and stakeholders that preparations for the Hong Kong concert continue to move forward as scheduled. The association announced that it will reveal the final artist lineup, ticket sales schedule, and additional event details in phases following internal confirmation processes.
"We deeply regret any confusion caused to artists and agency officials," KEPA stated in their announcement. "We will do everything necessary to ensure the successful and safe staging of the event, and we will promptly and transparently update all parties once the facts are fully verified." The association also committed to implementing measures designed to prevent similar incidents from occurring in future events.
