Teaser announcing boy band Ininfite's 13th-anniversary in June [INFINITE COMPANY]
After a four-year hiatus, South Korean boy band Infinite is set to make a comeback under a new agency established specifically for the group by its leader, Kim Sung-kyu. The announcement was made on the group's new YouTube and social media accounts on May 6, coinciding with the 12th anniversary of their debut. Infinite Company, the new agency, will focus solely on group activities for the members, who have each signed with different companies after their contracts with Woollim Entertainment ended. Kim will serve as president, with support from the other five members.

In a rare move for the industry, Infinite Company has also acquired trademark rights to the band's name from Woollim Entertainment, Infinite's original agency. Local media reported that the transfer of trademark rights was made unconditionally and without cost, as a gift to celebrate Kim Sung-kyu's birthday in April. Retaining the rights to the band's name after leaving their original agency is an unusual case, as seen with boy band Beast (renamed Highlight) and girl group GFriend (whose name was trademarked by Source Music).
Infinite debuted in 2010 as a seven-member band and is known for hit tracks such as "Be Mine" (2011), "Man In Love" (2013), "Bad" (2015), and "The Eyes" (2016). Former member Hoya left the group in 2017 after his exclusive contract expired. The group's comeback marks its 13th anniversary in the industry.
