Under the artistic direction of Im Do-wan, renowned for his work in directing the National Theater Company of Korea's critically acclaimed production of "Scarpin," this rendition of "Our Town" promises a truly immersive experience. Im Do-wan's imaginative vision for the play involves a transformation of characters and setting, enabling a poignant portrayal of the everyday lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. The story is set in the picturesque backdrop of Pyeonghae-eup, Uljin-gun, located in North Gyeongsang Province during the 1980s. Through the lens of Hyun-young, a young woman with a hearing impairment, the play artfully explores the profound emotions, triumphs, and tribulations experienced by those with disabilities.

Actor Park Ji-young, who gained recognition as the first deaf actor to be nominated for the esteemed 58th Baeksang Arts Awards for her remarkable performance in "Into the Unknown," has been cast in the role of Hyun-young. This groundbreaking production of "Our Town" boasts a diverse cast, featuring two deaf actors, including Park Ji-young, alongside fourteen non-disabled actors.
